What is Man? (Taiwan)

Nine men audition for roles in a gangster movie. But as they begin to lose themselves in the role-playing-game-world of the audition, each struggles to assert his manhood and unwittingly reveals more about himself − and that unique creature called man − than intended.

This edgy, modern take on the Chinese classic of heroic manhood, The Water Margin, is directed by Hong Kong’s eminent director Edward Lam, and stars a talented cast from Taiwan.
