If I have #2...
Instead of taking birdnest, I will take white fungus.
Instead of Meiji milk, I will take HL milk.
Instead of abstaining from coffee, I will take whenever I feel like it.
Instead of Avent baby bottom balm, we will use cheap and good Drapolene.
Instead of Avent bottles, we will use cheap and good Pigeon bottles.
Instead of Pigeon wet wipes, we will use whatever's the cheapest and on sale.
Instead of Huggies Ultra, we will use Drypers, Petpet and NTUC housebrand.
Instead of giving so much milk powder, he will be total breastfed! (until he's 8 months old or something)

To-do list : September (just some excuses to rant actually)
I just did a restock on the creams and WHAM!!! we probably have enough to grease an entire village...
Felt like blogging more recently, thanks to the new skin. Carnival seems to be the in-thing nowadays. I am seeing Carnivals everywhere...Marc Jacob's latest promotion...DBS Promotion of a Saving plan...all named 'Carnival'!
What's the actual meaning of a carnival?
According to dictionary.com (my personal favourite site now that I have bosses who love to use big big words...)
car·ni·val
noun
1. a traveling amusement show, having sideshows, rides, etc.
2. any merrymaking, revelry, or festival, as a program of sports or entertainment: a winter carnival.
3. the season immediately preceding Lent, often observed with merrymaking; Shrovetide.
Interesting, don't you think so? What do you think of when you see the word 'Carnival'? For me, I will see a carousel of horses...merry poles and ring masters, elephants and even a flying Dumbo!

Heidi's already 18 months old!
for your curly locks...
for your beautiful smile...
for your perfect teeth and chubby cheeks...
who blows at my wounds, trying to make it better.
who said "Oh shit" when I needed some empathy.
who's eyes speaks of depth and understandings but is totally cheeky and imaginative.
who gave me time to understand her needs and cries and gives me a hug and kiss when I needed one.
who learns very well and meets her milestones so mama don't have to feel bad about being a part-time mom.
who looks remorseful at breaking the glass of honey even though its mama's fault for leaving it out there for you to break.
last but not least...for making mama your #1 choice...
You are still nursing a flu...
It started with a running nose...and as usual...even though we see a doctor early...her running nose will run into a cough and then the cough...haiz...to cut the usual long story short. This time I have to give my in-laws credit for bringing Heidi to see the doctor early. But I have to take some credit back when they refused to administer the medications properly.
Heidi was given 1. Cough syrup, 2. Running nose med, 3. Nose drop and 4. Paracentamol just in case theres a fever. And as usual...my in-laws chose to omit the nose drop altogether. Cough syrup and running nose med only when they hear her cough or see her nose running. (honestly, given their eyesight...haiz...)
So...I know something's not right when Heidi's nose is still running after a week. We brought her to see our fav physician. Her case wasn't that bad and she really enjoyed the chinese med. A week passed and we are soon due on board for our cruise trip to Redang...which I seriously am regretting going because it actually deprives me of my rights to vote for our President...
Double haiz when the air-con on board worsen Heidi's cough and her nose started running again...triple haiz when the food aren't fantastic and I see a 100% display of my FIL's kiasu-ness in rushing to the restaurants and etc. WORSE is...we have to queue with about 800 over ppl just to get on board the tiny boat running to and fro from ship to Redang. I feel so cheated. Honestly I will have a better time flying direct to Redang and staying at a resort there direct.
The only thing I like about the cruise is the slight swaying when you lie on the bed. But with a sick baby...mama don't get to sleep much...
Very the fucked up.
The only way I can feel better is to save all the money spent on the cruise back into our saving accounts and a trip to somewhere more worthwhile...

One load off my mind
I thought I will want to place Heidi in a CC near my in-laws...but I don't think I want to place Heidi in the same CC as my niece. So I went to view the next nearest CC...the first thing that striked me about the CC was...the kids don't seem to be very happy to be in 'school'. The atmosphere is such a vast difference from LV that I really doubted I want Heidi there. Anyway that CC don't have a slot for Heidi either but they told me they might expand their classes...though I wasn't convinced in my heart that I want Heidi there...
The same CC as my niece? I called them too but they said they are still placing those born in 2009!? Totally no slot. I figured I will be very irritating to my in-laws if I deliberately place Heidi in another CC near them. Then they have to pick up 2 kids from 2 different locations...I can't bring myself to be so thoughtless.
Then a sudden turn of events...new baby (not mine) coming! WHAM! Back to my original sound plan...have Heidi in a CC near my workplace and be totally independent from my in-laws! The new baby(not mine) is the perfect excuse not to further trouble my in-laws. Not when my current niece and her mom has anger management issue...with a new baby (that's right! Theirs and not mine) will definitely further complicate the delicate balance.
Anyway...I went to LV and place my deposit to confirm Heidi's place. I wasn't feeling great and was near to tears...thinking of my dear baby...so small...gotta go CC...then me and the LV staff started chatting and chatting and..wow...I actually shared the same thoughts with her. We believe in giving the child a secure and loving environment that consists of manners and discipline as well! And we teach by setting examples of ourselves...wow wow wow...we got so carried away chatting that it was like 2 hrs later before I realised it. I felt great after that. Fantastic even! I am now convinced that Heidi is going to a childcare after her mama's own heart. I am even more convinced that these are all part of Daddy God's plan! The staff told me that December is a great time for Heidi to join as...1) it is the period when the kids are being 'upgraded' to their new class. 2) The teacher are most probably new to all the students and they use December as a relaxed and get-to-know-each-other-better sessions.
Amen!
I am so amazed. Really immaculate planning and timing from Daddy God. By December...not only is it a relaxing period in school, Heidi will also be 22 months old. Bigger and stronger! With the new baby coming...my in-laws can't object to my placing of her in a CC near my office instead of near them! My argument is that my SIL has a lot of personal stuff to sort out and my MIL will definitely panic along with her daughter. I don't want Heidi to get caught up in their affairs. I don't want my MIL to be wear out by Heidi (ok to be wear out by them cos its her choice). I don't want Heidi to be in 2nd/3rd place just because she's easier to handle. And experience tells me that the more well-behaved and non-problematic kids are the ones that get the least attention. I told my husband my point of views. And as I rattled on and on...it all made more and more sense to me...
My MIL tried to dissuade us...she said its troublesome for me...blah blah blah...but her case is weak...we have to admit that her daughter needs her support...a lot a lot of support...
And so it is...I shall bring Heidi for her orientation somewhere in Oct/Nov...then she shall start in LV in Dec...

I thought I was happy...
...until I couldn't get off the mrt at my designated stop...because too many ppl were rushing in. They are not being kiasu, mind you...they are just trying to get home. If they don't squeeze in, they will have to wait up to 20mins for the next one which effectively could mean getting home an hr late...
...until I was pregnant and a foreign talent beat me to the only seat in the mrt carriage...
...until I gave up my seat for an elderly who declined my seat...only to have a foreign youth took the seat I offered...
...until I was in the hospital where the foreign talent paid far more attention to the foreigner in the bed next to me...
...until we were home with my baby when we realized that the foreign talent tied the identification tapes too tightly around my then 2 days old baby limbs...
...until my friend was passover for a promotion because they hired a foreign talent to supervise over him...
...until we were about to buy a resale when the seller changed his mind cos a PR offered him more COV...
...until we were about to buy a resale when the seller decided to rent out his place to foreign talents instead...
...until we tried to ballot for a new unit from HDB near our parents only to be told we are outside 300% to be eligible in the queue...
...until I realized the childcare centre want to enroll my baby in is fully filled...

Wishlist for myself...
- Learn crocheting (Maria already made a trip to spotlight for me...so touched..)
- Learn bento making for Heidi (snack time at school or picnic or something)
- Get table and chairs for Heidi from Ikea
- Start Heidi on regular doodle session (so we can watch DVD movies in peace while she doodle away)
- Sign Heidi up for Playgym classed with Julia Gabriel.
- Practise my own drawings and stuffs.
- Plan fun art lessons for Heidi.
- Buy fruits home every Friday for Heidi's weekend.
- Exercise regularly with Heidi and Kelvin. (ideally is swimming but I have to get Heidi into the water without crying first)
- Constantly strive to be a better wife, mom and artist...(in that order. Strong and happy marriage produces happy offsprints)
We were attending Baby Wendy's bday party just now and Heidi fall asleep on the way home. We are a tad worried because she didn't finish her porridge and milk was 'administrated' at 7.30pm instead of the usual 8.30pm. I am still wondering if I should do a dreamfeed...but oh well...let her wake me at 5am or so then...I really don't feel like disturbing her sleep. I only changed her diaper, shorts to long pants and patted her back to sleep. Didn't even change her out of her hoodie...
I am seriously very into this entire motherhood thing and I felt very privileged to be such a big part of Heidi's life. I only pray that she is as loved and protected out of my sight as well. Entrusting that to me Abba...amen!

Bossini Smurf
I am hesitant about going to Bugis after Heidi's jab today. Her Prevenar 4. Which we've postponed quite a few times...1st time was because she caught viral flu and the GP prescribed antibiotics and we needed to wait 1 week after she ended her course. 2nd time was because there was a case of 4 infants death reported in Japan after they were administered Prevenar so we thought we should hold off the jab till HPB or something ok-ed it.
But anyway, we finally got Heidi to take her jab today and seeing that she's alright after crying for like 10sec...we decided to head down to Bugis anyway. So happy~ Smurfs smurfs smurfs~~~
I even managed to get the last 2 remaining tote bag in the store!
Now that we are home, I think this dress is pretty cute. I didn't buy any for Heidi cos the baby collections in Bugis don't allow me to use my VIP card. Guess I have to make a trip to Suntec....hehehe...
Lalalalalalalalala~ LA~ LA~ LA~ LA~ LA~~~~~~
Heidi knew how to sing ok? Don't pray pray...
She knows how to cluck her tongue, sing songs in lalalala, call papa, call mama, bird bird, dog dog, duck duck, yeye, nainai, popo, MMMooooooooo and nod her head and shake her head (which my hub totally disapprove of but how can you teach a baby to say only yes and not to say no???)
Oh and PD said Heidi's head size, weight...are of normal percentile but the height is a tad low. I said screw those percentile thingy...as long as Heidi is eating well, sleeping well...pooing well...bonding well with us...learning well...I dun fuck care liao! How to make her taller? Make her jump everyday meh? Skipping rope or basketball? Siao bo?

Goodbye TCC
Hi, I was with my family at TCC Funan last saturday and the waitress who attended to us kept suggesting that we take our seat outside at the patio where there is a smoking area. Clearly the entire patio reeked of smoke and we refused because we had a 1 yr old infant with us. So we found a empty table with 3 seats indoor but the catch was that it was beside a Caucasian couple. The waitress refused to let us take the empty seats claiming that we will 'disturb other guests'. I was mortified when she repeat the same words after asking for clarification. Not wanting to create a scene, we left immediately and settled for Ya Kun instead. I've been a long-time supporter of TCC and am also a member. But I am so sorry that TCC is such an unfriendly place for family that you can rest assured that I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere.
My 2 day long conversation with Nestle Singapore's helpline
I've decided to switch from NanHA to NanPro first until Heidi's 3 yrs old before making the switch to more economically priced milk powder. But I am hesitant about the switch because NanHA 3 and NanPro 3 both are for babies up till 3 yrs old. So out of concern, I wrote an email to Nestle babyclub.
My conclusion, no wonder Heidi has a taste for bitter chinese med...its because her milk is already bitter. Maybe the bitter chinese herbs tasted better than her milk! which she clearly enjoyed. So the switch from HA to Pro is necessary to let her know what...to quote Nestle staff..."any other milk" taste like.
To proceed and read about my conversation with Nestle SG babyclub, please scroll to the bottom of this entry and read from start.

Thanks for clarifying. But the nutrient wise, both are the same except that HA has the hypoallergenic formula to reduce allergies only rite? Am I correct to say that? Other than that the probiotics and stuffs are the same for both?

NAN HA 3 has a slightly bitter taste whereas NAN Pro 3 tastes like any other milk.

Hi Ranna,
NAN HA 3 is a hypoallergenic formula whereby it reduces the risk of allergies.
Also, the tastes between the two are different.

Dear Ranna,
Thank you for your email.
If your baby is taking well to NAN HA 3, you should continue with it as NAN HA 3 can be consumed till the age of 3.

Hi,
My baby has always been on Nan Ha milk powder and currently she is on Nan HA3. She is already 12 months 4 weeks old and I felt that it is time to switch to Nan Pro3. Is this advisable or should I stay on Nan HA?
Thanks!
Ranna

Heidi in childcare???
And the many other incidents that made me see the need to place Heidi in a childcare soon...
1) My SIL might have a 2nd child soon.
2) Heidi is rather hyper and need a lot of stimuli. My in-laws can't catch up with her.
3) My niece took out her frustration on Heidi this morning when she refused to ask Kelvin properly to transfer the walker into a car and he thus refused to help her.
4) I am concerned that Heidi will pick up rubbish from her cousin.
So I finally went for a tour at Learning Vision @CBP just now. I am pleased with what I saw. For starters, the colorful toys of quality. They looked like what I would have bought for Heidi too. I am specially particular about the toys in Heidi's collection...
Next, the children (most of em) were smiling at me and waving at me...so happy wor! Such confident, happy kids...and what's most happy was to hear them requesting for more bread! Happy kids with a hearty appetite and not paiseh to request for 2nd helpings!? I am delighted!
Then the temperature of the place seems ok to me...the infant area is nice. The playground seems ok...passable...but what's really impressive are their arts and crafts. Very nice intricate artworks all over the place. (not very sure how old are the kids who did them) But I am sold!
So I sat down with the principal and we did some calculations...my ol' my...Heidi's ready for childcare by September! How come it still seems to me that I just popped her out yesterday???
Anyway...I've decided. So the date is set. I felt good. But one thing I don't feel good about is how easily I've filled up Heidi's religion as buddhist. She's to be a christian! But I am leaving that to God. Daddy, all I can do is sing of Your love to my darling blessing from You.
My gawd...I nearly cried just now when I see all the little red bumps of mozzie bites on Heidi's back and tummy. How did they get there? My SIL said they are night bites. My MIL said she saw them when she was bathing Heidi. My thoughts: My SIL is nonsense. My MIL should apply the organic cream I have for mozzie bites and I don't think the bites occurred while we were sleeping. I think it happened when Heidi was kept stationary in her walker beside my chanting FIL while my MIL rushed to send my niece to childcare. Again it beats me why my SIL can't send her own child to childcare.
Haiz...Daddy daddy I can only count on You. I am not being accusatory or what. I just want to know where and when it happened so we can be more wary and check if there are breeding grounds in the house. I suspected the alter because there are many potted plants there. I don't suspect our room because both me and Kelvin are fine and I was jagar-ing Heidi all night. Making sure her tum-tum isn't exposed...gave her water, applied vicks, changed her diaper...anything I can to make her more comfortable. You tell me lah...mozzie got chance bo? I don't want to argue with them...I didn't say anything. I only let my MIL know that it's no use squeezing in 1 more milk feed to fatten up Heidi because once her body absorbed enough, the rest will be passed out. I don't want to argue with her liao...beats me how did she squeeze in 1 more milk feed without compromising her nap or porridge feed...which according to my MIL was unaffected. As if...I know she's lying...haiya...I just look forward to my time alone with my baby.

St Bartholomew
![]() |
| Dita Von Teese |
The people of Lipari celebrated his feast day annually. The tradition of the people was to take the solid silver and gold statue from inside the Cathedral of St Bartholomew and carry it through the town. On one occasion, when taking the statue down the hill towards the town, it suddenly got very heavy and had to be set down. When the men carrying the statue regained their strength they lifted it a second time. After another few seconds, it got even heavier. They set it down and attempted once more to pick it up. They managed to lift it but had to put it down one last time. Within seconds, walls further downhill collapsed. If the statue had been able to be lifted, all the townspeople would have been killed.
During World War II, the Fascist regime (German/Italian) looked for ways to finance their activities. The order was given to take the silver statue of St Bartholomew and melt it down. The statue was weighed, and it was found to be only a few grams. It was returned to its place in the Cathedral of Lipari. In reality, the statue is made from many kilograms of silver and it is considered a miracle that it was not melted down.
St Bartholomew is credited with many other miracles having to do with the weight of objects.
Article ends here...
Ooooohh...St Bartholomew, can you help take some of my weight PHYSICALLY off from me???

Weird happenings 2011
Enough about Heidi already. This entry is gonna be just about me...and what already happened to me in 2011.
1) After force quitting my lappy, I couldn't get online anymore as the motherboard can't detect the airport card! WTH!!! My hub, aka mac guru, tried diagnosing, solving, testing...everything is FINE! But I still can't get online! So he bought me a wifi usb connector to get back on. It's 5 times smaller than the portable Singnet USB modemn for sure.
2) I received a friend request from FB a few days ago. I check the profile of the requester and it seems that she is a young mother like me. So I accepted, thinking it could be one of the mothers from the forum but then again...there's no mutual friend between the 2 of us. So I accepted her and begin kay-pohing around her FB. Thoughts begin to fill my head as I analyzed this person...
"Ohh...she's born in 1990. Young gal..."
"So young become mother wah...hope she not stressed..."
"Her baby very ang moh hor...wonder how does the father look like..."
"Aye...her fiance also chinese leh..."
"OMG...don't tell me she kanna played by ang moh then chinese guy sacrifice...wei da wei da..."
So I decided to drop her a FB msg out of friendliness and kaypoh-ness...then I continue to check out her photos...
"Aiyoh her baby really cute...so doll-like..."
"Wah she bought so many clothes for her baby boy..."
"Wahh...her baby's eyelashes are so long..."
"...her baby eyes didn't close at all in all the photos..."
"aye...her baby's position seems to be the same in all the photos..."
"Skin quite shiny...Oh MY..."
The gal actually replied my FB msg but she made no mention that HER baby is a doll! I freaked out! If she had come clean and said...ohh...that's just a doll I ordered from UK or something...I will be perfectly fine! ...I can't get the baby doll out of my head so I did some google and...Wah liao...its like opening another can of worms...
They are known as REBORN baby dolls...Oh then as I was going through those photos and missing Heidi's baby stage (at 10 months, she's a vast different from when she was 3 months old) I started to wonder if I can get a sculptor and do a Heidi mould...then I got freaked out by myself for possessing that crazy thought and then got even more scared that someone who find my baby cute will do that...OPPS! So I faster unfriend that gal...so scary...(I better tighten security on how i leak Heidi's photos)
3) I was late for lunch on thursday and thus was even later to return to work. So I caught a cab and this cabbie started telling me about how he owed 2 restaurants in Msia, then his wife committed adultery with another man and swindled money from his business. Thus he wind up his business there and came back to Singapore as cabbie. Then he was telling me that he don't want to marry malay again and for his 2nd marriage, he want to try chinese or indian gal. Then he turned around and looked at me full in the face to check me out. I know those looks... -_- ...so I told him I am married and I have a daughter....that zipped him for good...
It's only like day 16 of the new year and I've bumped into such strange and mysterious incidents. On a lighter note, I am excited that this new year already promises interesting and new things that I find amusing.
My next challenge, securing a good/cheap...ok affordable/venue cum buffet place for Heidi's 1st yr birthday. Praying hard....

My thoughts
Here's her current schedule:
6.30-7am: She wakes up and I will change her diaper and give her her 7 oz of milk.
8.30am: Bath if its on weekend (since I am up, might as well wash her first)
9am : Cereal for breakfast
9.30am: Bath if its on weekday (MIL gotta make sure we say our farewells first before leaving work)
10am: short nap of 30min
11.30am: Lunch - Porridge
1.30-2pm: 7 oz of milk
After milk nap till 3.30/4pm
5-6pm: Dinner - Porridge
7-8pm: 7 oz of milk
9pm: Bedtime
on some occasion, she might request for a milk at about 10.30pm...we will give in to her when the occasion arise.
Anyway...now that her schedule is so much more stable, it is time for me to stop using her as an excuse and to go back to some of my old routines...
They are:
- drawing and painting practise
- skincare regimen
- nail care
- hands care
- make up
- wardrobe clean up
- dress up for work
arrgghh....I am so sloppy! I am now an auntie with clipped hair and a loose belly...arrgghhhh....gotta do something!!!

Heidi's passport is ready~~~

And the heck!...it works! Now Heidi's passport is ready for collection! But she has to be in person to collect as well. Haha...I am so eager to get her passport for our very first trip next year. So determined to make it happen but I really have to stop spending. It is so scary how many things I can buy in her name which totals up to a few hundred pretty dollars. Its worse especially when you can just shop from your seat online...grrr...QUIT SHOPPING! Start saving...to spend...LOL...

Totally random
What happened was like this...a week after Heidi got her last Hexa and Rota, she was fine! Then suddenly she got fever...cough + running nose (its a package by the way). Having wisen up from her previous nebulising episode, we brought her to the PD the next day. All was good...she was on the route to recovery when suddenly her jiejie aka 3 decided to join in the fun and have fever + cough + running nose as well. As it happens, some green eye monsters at work complaint that I was taking too much (maternity) leave and so I have to be at work a bit more...arrgghh...
My in-laws worked hard to keep the 2 at bay but alas...just when we thought we can taper off all the medicines from Heidi, her nose started running again. Fever came in the middle of the night. So off to the PD we go again....Heidi's fine, changed a running nose syrup and she was back home. We fed her the running nose syrup for 2 days when on the 3rd day, cough came again...so back to running nose syrup + Ivy Leaf Extract....by the 5th day, I realised that the stupid Ivy Leaf Extract ain't working and I throw in the ventolin. She seems better but we still bring her to the PD today. 3rd visit today...medications are running low...
I was right to be paranoid. There's phlegm in her chest when previously it was clear. Doc prescribed a new cough syrup, ventolin and the first running nose syrup we got. I am hopeful that this is the last of it. Told my MIL not to skip anything this time...for 3 days at least...give her the entire package of med. I know she meant well but tapering off too early too soon means we will qian gong jing qi...
My only consolation is that I know Abba is watching. He will not let us suffer. I know Heidi will grow up to be a strong child and don't fall sick. I've gotten into better habits just cos of all these...sterilising stuffs for Heidi more diligently and changing her bed sheets more often...I've even started to bring her out for early morning strolls for the fresh air and healthy sunlight. :)
Can't wait to bring her swimming when she's all better. :)
I am working hard at being strong myself too. It pains me to see my baby suffering but I know she is strong and I have to be even stronger for her. And I know I can be strong becos God is my strength and my fortress.

Hung up the pumps
Ok it finally ended. Then while Heidi seems to be enjoying her Step 2 milk powder, freshly cooked porridge...the guilt of stopping bm never occur to me until she fall sick again last last wed. Its a shock to us and after learning our lessons, we rushed her to see the PD almost immediately. She's about 99% recovered now...thank God. Loads of prayers, tears...yes I cried because I didn't give her medicine in the correct dosage as instructed by the PD and her fever came and stayed a few times on Saturday. Come Sunday, I've had enough and I told my MIL that we are following instructions! I draft out a neat schedule of feeding time and medicine time and stick to it! SO a week of follow instructions...3 feeds of medicines dropped to 2 feeds...then now dropped to 1. Dropped ventolin and the one for running nose, dropped nose drop...she's getting all better...OH YAY! Her rashes got worse in the midst of her recovery. It pains me to see her scratching and irritated so I just whack the forbidden contain steroid cream aka Neoderm on her. My rational? Get it healed first. Maintain without.
Works.
Praise God for His support. I really have no one else to turn to because I was busy self-condemning and I didn't really ask anyone for help or opinion. (The only one I listened to was my MIL and see what it did to me.) Conclusion, it is alright to let a child fight flu naturally with healthy air, no H1N1 and no whatsoever viruses back then. Back then, you probably need only 3 vaccinations. Now? 1 jab a month until you are about 18 months old? Times are different. Old folks advice? Can take but analyze wisely. Not all can be applied to current times.
I was thinking...if Heidi had fallen sick while I was trying to stop my bm, I would have dropped the idea and upped my bm to ingest fresh antibodies from me to her. Then I will think back to when I could have worked harder at latching...and etc etc...self condemning thoughts again. GEEZ...leave me alone!!!
Pastor Prince's message from the bible came to mind again as I was surfing around in J@mie Teo's blog...
“Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.” Proverbs 4:23 (NIV)
Now why J@mie Teo? I saw her family at a wedding dinner on Sunday and I was surprised to see her beautiful lil'gal and I just wanna see more photos of her. Also I must admit that I was impressed that there was no maid between J@mie and D@niel. They are very hands-on parents...which I came to know about while reading her blog too. Impressed impressed. I start to feel a little guilty as I read about her breastfeeding ups and downs. Envious also...at the convenience of direct latching. But nah...I saw her other post about guarding my heart. God's message came whooping in and knocking my glasses off. I guess I...am just gonna love my Heidi in every way I possibly can. She's enjoying her milk. Her intake per day is quite impressive (to me). I just wanna fatten her up a tad and keep her healthy and happy. My happy Heidi....
random thoughts in this post...too tired to sort em out. I stopped drafting so well...maybe also cos my language is limited since I haven't read any books other than parenting stuffs for a few months already. Sheesh...time to read some trashy contemporary novels...

My Kate Spade is here~

In case you are wondering, "Where's the horse?"
The horse is me lah! I born in the yr of the horse mah. Kua kua kua....
My baby is sleeping already and its only 9pm! kua kua...its like the first in a very long while. She will stay up and li-li-lei-lei and etc etc...by the time I convinced her to sleep, it will already be 10pm. And all that time taken to convince her to sleep ...exhausted me. I know I should just let her roll around in her cot until she doze off...but the manja queen will wail for me to cuddle her. Anyway, I also love to cuddle her...hehe...
Who can resist such a cute baby?

Okok...I gotta stop saying my baby is cute. Why parents always so bu yao lian one? Always think their own baby is the cutest. But honestly speaking, Heidi is cute mah....hor hor hor????
Anyway...my prayer points for Heidi:
1) That her toys will not have parts missing, making them incomplete.
2) No side effects from vaccinations
3) Growth and milestones, not going to worry but submit them to Jesus.
4) Heidi to grow up as a loving, creative, humourous and big-hearted gal~
This entry is quite rubbish cos I lost track of what I initially wanted to post about and was goggling and reading up on Sonny & Cher...then link to other 60s, 70s, 80s stars...missed those hippie era...gosh, I am lost. Now time to dreamfeed Heidi~
Ciao~

Things I didn't quite notice...
1. Baby's name is a frequent question when you are pregnant. (I am surprised how insistent some ppl can get that you tell them what you name your child.)
2. that me and my husband share a lot more in common than I realised...parenting style, humor and the way we partner each other in juggling chores and baby sitting...we are A team, man~
There's one time I bought this pre-loved baby swing from my friend and I got Kelvin to collect for me.
Me: "Tell mom its a gift hor..."
Kel: "I was about to tell you the same thing..."
Why the secret agent thingy? Cos we haven't got our own place and we are invading the living room with our baby stuffs...any more addition will only earn grumbles from my in-laws. Why...she made 4 rattles sounded like 4 extra sofas...
3. "No...don't give baby this...don't give baby that...don't apply talc, wait she inhale..." then I caught her clearing 3's potty with one hand and holding Heidi in the other. SHOCKED...
4. Never knew mothers are responsible for EVERYTHING about the child. Even for the flu viruses the child caught under other caregivers care. Sheesh...yes I still buay song about it...sheesh...
5. Sleep really is oh...so precious~
To be continued...

999th post
My gal is very very cuddle-able. So cuddle-able that her grandparents can't stop cuddling her...that she's rather pampered and she cannot lie down on her back for long (except to sleep of course). But she's perfectly ok when I lay her on the bed and I read to her. She will respond as though I am talking to her...so responsive that I started telling her about my problems, my concerns...that's when she lost interest and stare at the ceiling...
I am not concerned that she wouldn't master the art of flipping. In fact, I have a feeling she will skip that stage altogether and go straight to sitting up. Just like the fact that I've skipped the stage of crawling and go straight to walking. I told my MIL. She seems unconvinced. No worries, I will make her take back OUR walker from my SIL and Heidi will be able to walk by 9months old...that is unless they stall my plans by continuing to cuddle her all day long. But I am counting on Heidi to put on 1 kg each month...let's see how long they last...
